Those with a view past a year or two recognize that this is a very strong market and that our economy virtually guarantees this well into the future.
If you read our market updates you know that the year began with a mini-feeding frenzy. Mortgage interest rates had just dropped 1.5% from their highs. Buyers, previously sidelined by affordability issues, jumped in with both feet.
By March the frenzy was over and we were back to a “normal” market, which is where we find ourselves today. In contrast to the frenzy, homes today need to show well and be priced competitively. Those properties sell quickly, often over asking price. Properties that are “long in the tooth” are either fire sold or languish.
